In the heart of our community, the Inland Regional Center (IRC) stands as a vital institution dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. As a cornerstone of this mission, IRC board meetings play a crucial role in shaping the policies, programs, and services that directly impact the lives of countless individuals. Let’s explore why your involvement is essential and how it can drive positive change.

A Voice for the Community

Board meetings are more than just formal gatherings; they are a platform for democracy in action. They offer a unique opportunity for community members, caregivers, and stakeholders to voice their concerns, share both positive and negative experiences, and provide valuable insights. By participating, you become a vital link between the IRC and its community, ensuring that decisions reflect the real needs and aspirations of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Empowerment and Advocacy

Participation in board meetings empowers you to advocate for change, providing a platform to raise awareness about critical issues and drive reforms. Whether you’re pushing for improved services or enhanced accessibility, your voice can be a catalyst for positive transformation. By speaking up, you not only advocate for yourself and your loved ones but also for others who may not have the means or opportunity to do so.

How to Get Involved

Getting involved in IRC board meetings is easier than you might think. Here are a few steps to start:
