On September 22, 2025, the Inland Regional Center Consumer Advisory Committee (IRC CAC) hosted a Hot Dog Social at the IRC Conference Center. The event ran from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and brought together more than 75 clients, caregivers, DSPs, and Board & Care staff for an evening filled with food, fun, and connection.

Guests enjoyed hot dogs, nachos, and snacks while catching up with friends and meeting new people. The evening also featured a special presentation from the American Red Cross on disaster preparedness, offering practical tips and resources to help our community stay ready in case of an emergency.

Highlight Reflection

For me, the Hot Dog Social was truly a wonderful event. It was amazing to see so many of our clients genuinely excited and engaged, especially during the Red Cross presentation. The positive feedback we received throughout the evening made all the planning and teamwork feel incredibly worthwhile.

We also observed a moment of silence for the loss of our beloved Sarah Souder, IRC CAC President, who was such an important part of our CAC family. Sarah will always be remembered in our hearts and through the mission we carry forward—supporting our clients in living fulfilling lives, discovering new resources, and experiencing true community integration.

A very special thank you goes to our sponsors, 24 Hour Home Care and In-Roads Creative Programs, for their support in making this event possible.

This was a wonderful gathering, and we look forward to welcoming everyone again at future CAC events
