Currently, regional centers can authorize 90 hours per quarter of in-home respite and 21 days of out-of-home respite, unless an exemption is granted.

Effective January 1, 2018, these limits will no longer apply.

Respite is a service that allows parents/guardians who care for a child or adult with a developmental disability to have a break. A respite provider comes to the family home to provide care and supervision for the Consumer.  To learn more about respite, contact your IRC Service Coordinator.

Ahora, los centros regionales pueden autorizar 90 horas de relevo en el hogar, cada tres meses y 21 días de relevo fuera del hogar, a menos que haya habido una excepción.

Empezando el 1 de enero de 2018, estos límites ya no aplicarán.

El relevo es un servicio que permite los padres/guardianes que cuidan a un niño o adulto con una discapacidad del desarrollo que tengan un descanso. Un proveedor de relevo llega a la casa para cuidar y supervisar al Consumidor.
