Assemblymember Holden is currently working on a request through the state Budget process for $25 million for service providers to receive relief from the financial hardships resulting from increases in labor, housing, leasing, and fuel costs. Attached is a copy of Mr. Holden’s budget request letter titled “Bridge Funding for Dept. of Developmental Services (DDS) Service Provider to maintain critical services.” ARCA supports this request.

The Assemblymember has requested the assistance of service providers to write letters of support explaining how the funds would help/sustain their organization and the people served. Any personal stories or statistics would also be great to include.

Service providers should address the letter of support to “Dear Chairpersons.” They are encouraged to use the letterhead of their organization. Also, all letters should contain the physical address of the organization.

The actual email, with letter attached, should be sent,
