Community EngagementGeneral Announcements

Estimated Reading Time: < 1 Minute

Beginning at the end of May, per the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), IRC can now begin to conduct in-person visits if requested by the client.

Family members and friends can also resume visitation with their loved ones residing at one of the following facilities:
  • All licensed residential facilities
    • Community Care Facilities
    • Intermediate Care Facilities
    • Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Family Home Agency settings
  • Supported Living/Independent Living settings
  • Family Homes

Visitors are to follow strict CDC health guidelines throughout the duration of the visit, including the use of face coverings, hand washing, physical distancing (6ft minimum), avoiding large crowds, and poorly ventilated indoor spaces. Visitors should expect to be screened for COVID-19 related symptoms and fill out a health questionnaire when visiting any licensed residential facility. A copy of the health questionnaire can be found below:

Along with client visitation, all clients also have the right to outings and outdoor activities following an Interdisciplinary Team Meeting. For more detailed information, please refer to the IRC Visitation Directive.
