As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible support, enthusiasm, and solidarity shown by our IRC teams in San Bernardino and Riverside. These past weeks have been a powerful reminder of the strength and unity within our community, and Wednesday, October 30th, was no exception. IRC Staff members and advocates from all departments came together to walk, wear pink, and raise awareness for breast cancer.

San Bernardino Mini-Walk

Our day began at 10:00 a.m. in front of the IRC Conference Center, where staff gathered in shades of pink for the San Bernardino Mini-Walk. With every step, we reaffirmed our commitment to spreading awareness, honoring survivors, and supporting those still fighting. As we walked, the energy was palpable—our journey ended at the arch of balloons, a symbol of hope, where we displayed ribbons carrying the names of those we love and care for.

Riverside Mini-Walk

Later in the afternoon, at 3:00 p.m., our Riverside team carried that same spirit forward with their own Mini-Walk. Following the PINK SIGNS, staff came together to honor loved ones and show their support for the cause. The unity and positive energy on display were a powerful reminder of the strength we have as a community when we come together.

A Big Thank You to Our IRC Family

To everyone who participated—whether you walked, helped organize, or simply showed up in pink—thank you. Your dedication made these events a success, and your support helps keep the fight against breast cancer alive. For those who couldn’t attend, rest assured there will be many more opportunities ahead for us to unite around causes that matter to our community.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be ending, but our commitment to raising awareness and making a difference continues. Let’s keep this spirit alive, supporting one another and standing strong for the causes we care about. Together, we are stronger.

PINKOUT today, tomorrow, and always! And to those who are fighting this battle, know that we are here for you, every step of the way.
