The Inland Regional Center (IRC) Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) hosted a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day-themed Coffee Night, bringing together clients and families for an evening filled with socializing, networking, and engaging activities. We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, In-Roads Creative Programs Inc. and 24 Hour Home Care, for their generous support in making this event possible.

Our clients had an absolute blast connecting with one another, sharing experiences, and building friendships in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Events like these provide invaluable opportunities for our clients to foster relationships, develop social skills, and simply enjoy an evening of fun and camaraderie.

Quila Bell, IRC Consumer Advocate, shared her thoughts on the event, stating, “This event is one of the first where I felt officially welcomed into my role. At previous events, I was focused on getting to know everyone, but this time, it was the opposite—clients knew me as the IRC CAC Client Advocate.” This sentiment highlights the strong sense of community that these gatherings foster, reinforcing the importance of inclusive and interactive events for our clients.

Gregory Harrison, IRC Client Advocate, also emphasized the significance of Coffee Night, saying, “Coffee Night is a staple evening event where clients always ask, ‘What are we doing? What activities will we have? And what type of coffee will we be providing?’” It is clear that Coffee Night has become a beloved tradition within our community, providing a consistent and enjoyable space for engagement.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Stephen Donahue, Community Partnerships Coordinator from 24 Hour Home Care, for delivering an insightful presentation on employment opportunities for our clients. Additionally, we appreciate Valerie Mosher, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from Hope 4 Health Now, for leading a valuable nutrition workshop specifically for our IRC CAC parents. Their contributions were instrumental in making this event both educational and enriching.

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue hosting events that bring our community together. If you have registered, we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Paint Night. And mark your calendars—our highly anticipated Movie Night is scheduled for May 19th!

If you have any questions or need further information about our events, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. We appreciate your continued support and can’t wait to see you at our future gatherings!
