On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Inland Regional Center (IRC) proudly hosted the Building Futures: SDP Providers and Micro-Enterprise Resource Expo at our San Bernardino headquarters. This vibrant and impactful event welcomed more than 500 attendees, including Self-Determination Program (SDP) participants, families, independent facilitators, micro-enterprise vendors, and community partners.

Organized by IRC’s SDP Local Volunteer Advisory Committee, the expo offered an engaging space for participants to connect with local service providers, learn about financial planning resources, explore vendor options, and receive valuable materials to support their journey in the Self-Determination Program.

In addition to resource booths, attendees enjoyed complimentary coffee and smoothies, tote bags, SDP handbooks, and a lively atmosphere that encouraged networking, empowerment, and information-sharing. IRC’s Community Engagement and Service Access and Equity teams were also present, offering information on our upcoming events and handing out fresh popcorn to visitors, a favorite stop for many families, clients and service providers!

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making the expo a success, and especially to the families and providers who took time to attend. Your continued participation and advocacy are what strengthen our community and drive progress toward greater inclusion and choice.

We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to support individuals with developmental disabilities through education, collaboration, and community-based events.
