By Gregory Harrison, Client Advocate
Gregory Harrison first started with Inland Regional Center (IRC) as a client, but now he works for IRC as a Client Advocate. His duties as a Client Advocate include visiting clients at Day Programs and bringing forward their concerns to IRC, advocating for IRC clients in Sacramento, and assisting in planning IRC events, activities, and outreaches.
Gregory is a member of the Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC), a social advocacy group for IRC clients ages 16 and older, and he is an avid advocate for clients’ rights throughout the Inland Empire.

Greg is also an active member of the Kiwanis Club of San Bernardino, where he volunteers his time to serve the surrounding community. Additionally, he is a member of the Client Advocate Committee for the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), where he advocates on behalf of clients across the entire state of California.
Gregory participates in the Self-Determination Program (SDP) and co-trains the SDP Orientation for interested parents and clients in collaboration with the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD).

Greg empowers others by sharing his personal story, including the struggles and triumphs he has experienced while living with his disability. He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at a young age; however, he has never allowed his diagnosis to define who he is. His personality shines through his humor and personal stories, making everyone he meets feel as though they have known him for years.
Gregory is married to his lovely wife, Jocelyn, and together they have a very precocious son, Jacob.
