At IRC, our staff is our most valuable resource! Team IRC is made up of more than 750 professionals committed to providing excellent service to people with developmental disabilities. Each month, IRC staffers nominate outstanding colleagues in our Employee Recognition program. This month, we are recognizing the contributions of Viviana Gonzalez and Stephanie Altis.

Viviana Gonzalez – Hercules Award Recipient

Viviana Gonzalez is a Consumer Services Coordinator (CSC) working with our adult Consumers in eastern Riverside County. She is known by some of her teammates as “Mama Viviana” because of the support she provides to both her Consumers and her colleagues.  Her coworkers shared these kind words about her: “Viviana is truly a Superwoman. She is always willing to assist her peers in any way she can. She works diligently to support her Consumers, has a strong work ethic, and frequently takes the lead with team events and activities.”

To get to know Viviana a little better we asked her a few questions. Here’s a little of what she shared!

What do you like most about your work at IRC?

I enjoy working at Inland Regional Center because the agency encourages personal and professional growth. As a CSC, I am given a unique opportunity to enrich the lives of my Consumers. IRC provides me with the tools and supports that make my job easy and rewarding.

What is your life like outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like going on road trips and attending baseball games. Go Angels!

How do you think this award reflects your personality and work at the agency?

I believe this award does in some way reflect my personality as I do have good maternal instincts and view my co-workers as a part of my family. I feel truly blessed to be working at IRC.

Stephanie Altis – Positively Contagious Award Recipient

Stephanie is a Consumer Support Technician (CST) with our Medicaid Waiver Team. You can feel her energy and positivity the second you meet her. Her teammates agree! Here is what they had to say about her. “Stephanie’s positively contagious behavior starts with her willingness to help others. She always shows respect and kindness. And she goes out of her way to make sure others have a great day. She is a fantastic example to others.”

We wanted to learn a little more about Stephanie, so we asked her a few questions. Here’s what she told us!

What do you like most about your work at IRC?

I really enjoy working for an organization that stands to make a difference in our community. My colleagues are spectacular! There is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals all revolving around the Consumer. I am grateful to be a part of this organization.

What is your life like outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and my pups Bebop and Sadie. My husband and I enjoy taking them on car rides to the dog park or the beach. I also enjoy waking up early Saturday mornings to walk through every aisle of Target, coffee in hand!

How do you think this award reflects your personality and work at the agency?

I strive to be my best every day and enjoy giving a helping hand! I’d also like to thank my colleagues for being such a delight to work with.

Congratulations Viviana and Stephanie! You truly help make IRC a wonderful place to work.
