Service Providers: Protect Your Rate Increase!

Community EngagementGeneral Announcements

Estimated Reading Time: 2 Minutes

This announcement is for IRC Vendors.

Are you an IRC Service Provider who received a rate increase as of July 1, 2016? By law, you must submit an online survey by October 1, 2017. Providers who do not, will lose their increase! Please read the information below from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to learn more about the survey and how to complete it.

Due to the enactment of Assembly Bill (AB) X2-1, many regional center service providers received rate increases, effective July 1, 2016, for the purpose of enhancing wages and benefits for staff who spend at least 75 percent of their time providing direct services to consumers. Service providers who received rate increases are required by statute to complete a survey on how the rate increase was used by October 1, 2017 or providers will forfeit the rate increase. As discussed in the Department’s May 1, 2017 letter, the Department worked with stakeholders and incorporated comments and input received to develop the final version of the survey, which was released on July 17, 2017.

Completion of the survey is done through a secure, online portal developed by OIG Compliance Now. Information on registering for the portal and completing the survey is available below. In addition to the User’s Guide and ongoing technical assistance, OIG Compliance Now will be hosting three webinars (see schedule below) to review specifics on registration, login, and completion of the survey (a recorded version of the webinar will also be available.) Participation in one of these webinars is not required in order to complete the survey.
