At Inland Regional Center (IRC), our staff is our most valuable resource! Team IRC is made up of more than 750 professionals committed to providing excellent services to people with developmental disabilities. Each month, IRC staffers nominate outstanding colleagues in our Employee Recognition program. This month, we are celebrating Maggie Forbush!

Maggie is a Consumer Services Coordinator with our Riverside School Age East Unit. Her role involves meeting with IRC clients and their families to understand their needs and goals. She also coordinates services and resources for clients as well as providing support and advocacy!

Maggie is a source of kindness and support for her clients and fellow IRC staffers! She is a mentor for new staff and goes above and beyond to support her teammates. When nominating her, Maggie’s colleagues said, “Maggie makes herself available to our team and goes out of her way to make sure our questions are answered. She is an exemplary employee and provides model customer service!”

To get to know Maggie better, we asked her a few questions. Here is what she shared!

What do you like most about your work at IRC?

I enjoy working as a Consumer Service Coordinator for School Age. It gives me the opportunity to help families find services and supports that will improve their quality of life. I also enjoy working in a wonderful unit.

What is your life like outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four kids. You can always find us on the soccer or softball field. I also enjoy having backyard barbecues and spending time with family and friends.

How do you think this award reflects your personality and work at the agency?

I am truly honored for this award and recognition. I strive to do my best for each of my families that I serve and be a supportive member of my unit.

Congratulations Maggie! You help make IRC a wonderful place to work!
