At IRC, our staff is our most valuable resource! Team IRC is made up of more than 750 professionals committed to providing excellent services to people with developmental disabilities. Each month, IRC staffers nominate outstanding colleagues in our Employee Recognition program. This month, we are celebrating Monica Siegers.

Monica Siegers is a Program Evaluator with our Quality Assurance department. Her role is to ensure that our clients receive quality Day Program Services. Her duties include providing technical assistance to our Day Program service providers, as well as conducting annual reviews and investigations.

Monica is described by her colleagues as delightful, energetic, and always willing to go the extra mile. When nominating her, Monica’s colleagues said, “Monica is the true definition of a team player. She is instrumental in helping the team meet deadlines, completing audits, assisting others with investigations, and much more!” To get to know Monica, we asked her a few questions. Here is what she shared!

What do you like most about your work at IRC?

I enjoy working in QA as a Program Evaluator for day services. It offers me the opportunity to ensure that our consumers are receiving quality services and supports. It is also nice working with such a wonderful agency and supportive unit and manager.

What is your life like outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two dogs. We like to go on morning walks and bike riding on scenic trails. I also love to garden! Springtime is my favorite season, as all my flowers are starting to bloom.

How do you think this award reflects your personality and work at the agency?

Working at IRC is very rewarding. It is easy to come to work every day and want to do a good job when you love what you do.

Congratulations Monica! You help make IRC a wonderful place to work!
