This past Friday, the Inland Regional Center’s annual Bingo-Rama brought together dozens of enthusiastic clients, families, and staff for a night to remember—this time with a bold Western twist! The “Cowboy Edition” theme was a resounding hit, filling the venue with the spirit of the Wild West as attendees arrived decked out in cowboy hats, plaid shirts, boots, and country-style flair. The atmosphere was electric, buzzing with laughter, music, and the unmistakable sound of “BINGO!”

As clients arrived, they were greeted with warm welcomes and delicious food that added to the down-home feel of the event. Plates were filled with hearty meals and sweet treats, and guests enjoyed the opportunity to eat, chat, and catch up with friends. This social aspect of Bingo-Rama continues to be one of its most beloved features. Clients, staff, and volunteers all mingled in good spirits, enjoying each other’s company and taking part in the shared joy that the event always brings.

The highlight of the night, of course, was the bingo competition itself. Tables filled quickly as clients eagerly sat down, daubers in hand, eyes scanning their cards for that lucky number. The energy in the room was contagious, with cheers erupting every time someone shouted “Bingo!” It was more than a game—it was an opportunity for connection, celebration, and pure fun.

Gregory Harrison, Consumer Advocate, captured the spirit of the night perfectly: “It’s fun to do new creative Bingo-Rama themes. The clients really enjoyed the western cowboy theme.” Indeed, the theme added a whole new layer of excitement, with many clients fully embracing the idea—some even incorporating toy sheriff badges and faux mustaches into their outfits!

Ismeth Estrada, Consumer Support Technician, also shared her thoughts, emphasizing the community impact of the event: “Our clients were anxious to win and socialize at our annual Bingo-Rama event.” It’s moments like these that highlight how important these gatherings are in building confidence, boosting morale, and encouraging meaningful relationships among clients.

We are incredibly grateful to all who helped make this event such a success. A special thank-you goes out to our fabulous bingo caller and host, Jonathan Eckrich, Program Administrator for Children’s Services in Riverside County. His lively energy and warm presence helped keep the games moving and the crowd engaged. His genuine enthusiasm was infectious and kept everyone’s spirits high throughout the evening.

We would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to Sharon Barton and her dedicated staff from In-Roads Creative Programs, Inc. for volunteering their time and generously sponsoring this year’s event. Their support allowed us to offer Bingo-Rama completely free of charge to our clients—a gift that we deeply appreciate.

This year’s Cowboy Edition reminded us once again why Bingo-Rama is one of the most cherished traditions in our community. From themed outfits and joyful shouts of “Bingo!” to the simple magic of people coming together, the event was a beautiful reminder of the power of inclusion, creativity, and fun.

We can’t wait to start planning next year’s theme. Until then—happy trails, partners!
