The Inland Regional Center is excited to welcome Jalyn to our Community Engagement Team as our new Events Developer and Outreach Specialist!

Jalyn brings over a decade of experience in marketing, communications, and community service, with a strong focus on connecting with and supporting the San Bernardino community and surrounding areas. Her expertise in communications and community outreach has equipped her with the skills to build meaningful relationships and create impactful engagement opportunities.

In her role at IRC, Jalyn will assist in the development, facilitation, and promotion of special events. She will work closely with IRC staff, executive leadership, consumers, vendors, families, and the broader community to:

• Coordinate signature events like IRC’s annual Service, Access and Equity Conference, Fall Festival, Vendor Fairs and IRC CAC events.
• Develop marketing strategies along with the Community Relations Specialist for special events including flyers, newsletter blogs, website updates, and social media campaigns.
• Handle event logistics, from securing permits and venues to coordinating layouts, emcees, and schedules.
• Recruit and manage vendors and volunteers, track raffle prizes, and oversee event budgets and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the Consumer Advisory Committee and Advocates to create inclusive, engaging experiences for consumers and families.
• Support community projects and outreach initiatives that promote awareness of developmental disabilities and enhance engagement with underserved populations.

Jalyn holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Marketing and a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology, bringing a wealth of expertise in creative strategy, event coordination, and digital storytelling. In her new role, Jalyn looks forward to continuing to foster strong community connections, gaining a deeper understanding of the needs of those we serve and helping individuals feel empowered and confident through inclusive engagement and support.
