On May 18, the Inland Regional Center Conference Center welcomed 36 consumers for an evening of connection, laughter, and entertainment during CAC Movie Night. Guests came together to enjoy Toy Story 4 in a warm and inclusive setting that encouraged conversation, community, and a sense of belonging. From the moment attendees arrived, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming, giving everyone an opportunity to relax, socialize, and enjoy a fun night surrounded by peers and familiar faces. Events like these continue to show how important it is to create spaces where consumers can connect with one another and build meaningful relationships.

A meaningful part of the evening was a short presentation by Gregory Harrison and Ismeth Estrada about Champions, a film centered on teamwork, perseverance, and the value of supporting one another. Their remarks added an uplifting message to the night and gave attendees a chance to reflect on the importance of encouragement, self-confidence, and inclusion. The presentation also connected well with the mission of CAC, which continues to provide opportunities for individuals ages 16 and older to come together, share ideas, learn about resources, and stay involved in upcoming activities. Through gatherings like Movie Night, CAC helps create a stronger sense of community while giving participants a voice in events and programs designed with them in mind.
Attendees also enjoyed complimentary pizza from Big T, along with nachos and popcorn, which made the evening even more memorable and added to the fun, movie-night experience. We are grateful with In-Roads Creative Program and 24 Hour Home Care for their generous support in helping make this event possible and for continuing to invest in opportunities that bring consumers together. As CAC events continue throughout the year, we encourage community members to learn more, stay connected, and take part in future gatherings. To learn more about CAC and upcoming opportunities, please visit the Inland Regional Center calendar and be sure to register for IRC CAC Bingorama on July 17, 2026, as registration is required.
