Families and artists joined us on November 13th for Falling for Pumpkins: Pick It, Jazz It, Win It!, a relaxed and fun celebration of fall. The room filled with laughter and excitement as everyone chose a pumpkin—big, small, round, bumpy, or perfectly lopsided. Every pumpkin became a blank canvas ready for creativity.
Tables were set up with pumpkins and acrylic markers for each artist. A large crafts table offered gems, stick-ons, and other fall-inspired decorations to add extra flair to the pumpkins. Artists drew funny faces, added bright colors, or created unique designs. Every pumpkin looked different, and every artist used their imagination in their own way.
Families and caregivers joined in too, helping when needed, cheering on the artists, and sharing in the fun. The activity stations were set up so artists of all abilities could participate comfortably, making the event welcoming for everyone. The smell of pumpkin pie, warm cider, and sweet fall treats added to the cozy, festive feeling.
When decorating was finished, we announced winners in four fun pumpkin categories:
- Silliest Pumpkin
- Classic Fall Pumpkin
- Bedazzled Pumpkin
- Most Unique Pumpkin
A special thank-you to In-Roads, who generously donated gift cards for the winners in each category. Your support helped make the night even more special.
While we celebrated a top winner, all artists left as winners with a decorated pumpkin and a gift card to remember the evening.
“Getting to witness artists come together and show off their own vision of creativity was truly amazing to see in person,” said Stephen Donahue, CAC President.
This event was more than a pumpkin-decorating night—it was a chance to slow down, have fun, be creative, and spend time with friends, families, and caregivers. This event grows every year, and we can’t wait to see what creative ideas come next. We’re already looking forward to next year and all the fun fall memories yet to come!
