Hello Early Start Vendors:
The attachments are being offered by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) as a guide for use in discussions regarding Alternative Service Delivery (ASD). The letter states that DDS wants each client receiving ASD programming to have a discussion with the vendor, by November 1, 2021.
The intent of the discussion is to allow the client/family to discuss their current and future service needs under the ASD model. The Engagement Guide that is attached can serve as tool/guide for the discussion regarding ASD programming. The following will be required by each vendor, for each client receiving ASD programming:
- Make sure you have the meeting to discuss ASD programming before November 1, 2021.
- Please make sure to invite the IRC Infant Service Coordinator for the discussion.
- Document the IDT meeting to include the date of the meeting, the participants and the client’s input.
- If the Individual Family Service Plan is adapted or changed in any way, as a result of the meeting, please ensure that the Inland Regional Center (IRC) Infant Service Coordinator receives a final copy of the plan.
